The Business Academy in Trutnov will undergo a reconstruction that will consist of revitalization of the facade of the building with the main goal to modify the property to decrease the expenses for heating and also to return the building to its appearance at the beginning of the last century. The property of the college, built from 1892 to 1893, first served as a girls' elementary school and a town shool, later in 1909 the local two-year business school was established, and was subsequently expanded to a four-year Business Academy. The school was called Upska School because of its location.
The architectural look of the property, after completion of the insulation,will correspond (especially from the northern and western sides) with the original appearance according to preserved historical pen-and-ink drawings.
