The multifunctional community centre provides for many different types of culture. On the premises there is a small variable hall, theatre restaurant with a bar, information centre, studio with a recording studio, a main hall, clubs, classrooms and on the top level offices of the Turnov Cultural Centre and a caretaker's apartment. The building creates a new town facility - it opens the groundfloor for activities with all day usage an information centre at the corner and a restaurant with a courtyard in the arcade. The corner is made by recessing the platform frontage so that the vertical dominant feature of the square will be the Church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary. The construction material chosen for the centre stems from the church building material, an abutment wall in Markova Street and in a broader sense from the whole region. Sandstone is a feature of Cesky Raj, the building is a stone block that emphasises the church spire by its bevels and is a reminder of the Turnov tradition of stone working the Czech garnet. After dusk when the cultural activities start, shadows reveal a hidden aspect of the building - a cross vault. The project was nominated in the competition Construction of the Year 2009.
