Reconstruction and expansion of the elementary school took place in several consecutive phases while the school remained under full operation. Alterations and extensions to two existing buildings at the elementary school were made and they were mutually interconnected. An addition was made to the gymnasium of the trade school and an outdoor sporting area was created. With its novel design, the elementary school has become a landmark in the city.
