The company was established in 1991 with the privatization of a portion of the state firm Pozemní Stavby Hradec Kralove, benefiting from its more than 40 years of experience in important construction projects. During the 1990s, the company was able to adapt quickly to conditions of the market environment and changes in demand brought by a greater insistence on the rapid completion of quality construction projects. Since 2005, the company has carried out its own investments in development projects, particularly in the northeastern region of the Czech Republic.

On 1/7/2009, there was a successful merger between BAK Corp. and BAK Construction Corp. This merger was brought about by a successful change in shareholder structure. The new company, BAK Construction Corp. will make possible further development, increased financial stability and increased competitiveness in markets it already dominates.
